Gagan Takhar, PA-C

Gagan was born and raised in Yuba City. She then went to UC Davis for undergrad and achieved a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology. While in undergrad, she was a member of an underserved student-run clinic called Shifa and spent time shadowing Dermatology offices. After undergrad, she worked as a mental health technician and substitute teacher before eventually getting into PA school at Touro University where she earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies and her Master of Public Health. During her PA school clinical rotations, Gagan was able to complete her Dermatology rotation at the same Dermatology office that she went to as a patient and shadowed at as an undergrad student. This cemented her passion and interest in Dermatology.

Her first job out of PA school was at a cosmetic Dermatology clinic where she learned and excelled in cosmetic procedures involving many lasers and injectables. She feels fortunate to be able to incorporate this knowledge into her medical Dermatology practices.

During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, being active, and traveling. She feels grateful to be working close to home again and doing what she loves.
