Dr. Hodari values the importance of patient education, in part, because of the quality and breadth of his own education. After earning an undergraduate degree in chemistry at Grinnell College in Iowa, Dr. Hodari was accepted to The Ohio State University’s medical school. While there, he also studied business and administration to help him deliver health care more effectively to all patients.
Dr. Hodari completed an internal medicine residency at The Ochsner Clinic Foundation and his dermatology residency at Tulane University. Both institutions are in New Orleans, a city that continues to inspire him personally and professionally. During his training in Tulane’s dermatology program, Dr. Hodari focused on advanced cosmetic dermatology techniques and treatments. Cosmetic dermatology’s unique combination of art and science and the ability to enhance a person’s appearance and confidence appealed to Dr. Hodari.
Besides being certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Hodari is a Castle Connolly Top Doctor, a Verified Expert Injector, and a member of both the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the American Academy for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS).
The first step in treating either cosmetic or medical dermatology patients, according to Dr. Hodari, is listening to the patient. Communication builds trust and results in patients who are happy with their results. Another critical part of creating a customized treatment plan for cosmetic procedures is evaluating the symmetry and balance of a patient’s appearance so outcomes are in harmony with the facial features.
When he’s not exploring the Crescent City’s food, culture, and history, Dr. Hodari enjoys running, boxing, and CrossFit gym. He enjoys spending quality time with family, which often includes traveling internationally.
